Over the next few weeks, we will introduce you to our new Community Crime Reduction Team (CCRT). Included in this are three units: the Crime Prevention Unit, Community Engagement Unit, and the Gang Reduction Unit. The CCRT is focused on building positive relationships between law enforcement and the Roanoke City communities they serve. The core mission of the team is to enhance public safety, prevent crime, and improve the quality of life for residents by fostering trust, collaboration, and transparency between Law Enforcement and community members.
